But I think I really love 5:00 a.m. workouts! I feel pretty darn good after my workout this morning and now I'm just waiting to cool down a bit so I'm not still sweating when I get out of the shower. I wish I had a more accurate way to estimate calories burned during exercise. The treadmill told me I burned 826 calories this morning which is not correct. I think they are over estimating my caloric expenditure because of my weight. Yes, I'm going to burn way more calories than a female who is my age and weighs 150 pounds but I still don't think it's in the 800 calorie range. Oh well, I suppose calories don't matter all that much. I know I was working in my target heart range of the greater part of the workout and I just feel good. What else really matters.
OK, I think I might have some breakfast and then shower. I know you're busy and don't have a lot of time to sit and read a bunch of lengthy blogs so I'm just going to leave you with a little workout humor!

I love the Minnesota/Norwegian treadmill! :)

Congrats on your early morning success. I really don't think I can do that. I'm an afternoon/evening type person. I hate how uncertain those calorie counters can be. I remember it differing from two treadmills of the same model/make. I stopped relying on those eventually. I then started making sure I reached the same distance (or farther) and reached the same time.
Thanks for the cartoon. It's always nice to have a picture or something different to enjoy along with our blogs.
Greetings. I'm with LeAnn, I can't wake up and walk around let alone exercise that early. I'm willing to try and change though but it would be a major challenge. It may be the most logical time for me too considering how busy my days and evenings can be.
Gotta love Norwegian humor in all settings, including exercise.
